The 2021 Volkl Deacon V.Werks skis with bindings are a new offering from Volkl this year and are poised to take the carving precision of the Deacon 84 to the next level. With an upper-end feel and personality on the line, the Deacon V.Werks shares a mold with the 84 but adds carbon fiber to the central portion of the ski in order to increase stiffness without adding weight. Just tip and rip these things and they'll come right around for you. The 3D Radius sidecut is all the rage these days and it makes a lot of sense. By allowing the skier to vary up the turn shape and style at a whim, the skis become a lot more versatile. Thanks to this technology, longer turns are smoother and shorter turns are sharper. When that tech is combined with this build, you can pretty much make any turn at any time and not think twice about it. Speed, power, and precision are all lumped into one nice-looking and sharp package for the front side of the mountain and beyond. The Deacon series has come a long way over the past few years, starting with the addition of the de-tuned race skis and now encompassing all of the front side models in Volkl's line. The Deacon V.Werks is certainly the cream of the crop when it comes to lightweight performance. All that strength and power in such a light feeling combination seems almost implausible, yet here we are.
