The Full Tilt Descendant 8 Ski Boots could probably be called the "Ascendant 8" - it is essentially the same boot as the 10-flex Ascendant with a softer 8 flex tongue and no tech fittings. It still sports the relaxed 102 mm Evolution last, has the same shell and walk mode system, but substitutes in a Pro Intuition wrap liner instead of the lighter-weight touring liner found in the Ascendant. The "8" flex is arguably Full Tilt s best all-mountain flex, with a bit more give for those backcountry exploration days and deep snowpacks.

J-Bars – An additional j-shaped piece of foam is inserted internally on both sides of the ankle area to dramatically increase ankle hold down, to keep your feet perfectly in place for precise control.

Infinite Pivot – Unlike traditional designs, the rear cuff never bottoms out. It pivots infinitely forward with your calf for less shell distortion, no shin pain and more control.
Walk Mode – For hot laps on the skin track or dancing until last call in the bar. Flip the lever up to ascend with ease. And when it’s time to send it, flip the lever down, lock the cuff in place, and push into the fluid, progressive flex you’ve come to expect from Full Tilt.
Ladder Buckles – The ladder buckle features an intuitive, easy to remember, macro-size adjustment, plus a micro-twist for fine adjustment with a light, easy-to-handle aluminum lever.
45° Heel Lock – Keep heels where they belong. Placing the middle buckle at an optimal 45 degree angle creates a solid lock for the heel to stay put when pressuring the tips and tails of the skis.
